Hexagon Robotics, a division of Hexagon, hires a Staff ML Engineer, Embodied AI to lead the roadmap for training AEON to automate industrial tasks. This senior role drives direction, execution, and best practices in embodied AI for robotic manipulation.

You'll own pre-training, fine-tuning, and post-training strategies, collaborate with Product and Management, and influence the team’s technical direction with pragmatic, results-driven leadership.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or MSc in Robotics, Computer Science, Data Science, ML or related field.
• 5+ years of robotics or ML development experience.
• Strong experience building embodied AI systems for robotic manipulation.
• Proven track record in training, evaluating and improving ML models.
• Hands-on Python and modern deep learning frameworks.
• Experience with robotics learning frameworks such as LeRobot or equivalent.
• Autonomous, ownership-driven, and able to influence team direction.
• Pragmatic, goal-oriented with strong execution focus.

Aufgaben

• Lead the research, development, and training of end-to-end visuomotor policies for robotic manipulation.
• Own the strategy and execution for pre-training, fine-tuning, and post-training approaches.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for embodied AI capabilities on AEON.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Management to translate customer needs into AI strategy.
• Act as a technical lead, shaping best practices, architecture, and model development standards.
• Ensure the codebase is clean, maintainable, and production-ready.
