Job summary

RIVR, part of Amazon, is a robotics company pioneering Physical AI for real-world doorstep delivery. We seek a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of our robots’ custom electronics, including power and digital PCBA, firmware, and interfaces.

You will prototype, test, and scale hardware from MVP to mass production, mentoring a team and guiding product decisions with executives to drive innovation in autonomous robotics.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher in a relevant field such as Engineering, Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace.
• Five+ years of industry or research experience; PhD applicable.
• Extensive PCB design and firmware development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBAs for robotic applications including power electronics and interfaces.
• Build and test prototypes to evaluate functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and embedded system engineers to integrate hardware and software.
• Perform rigorous testing to verify reliability, durability, and safety of robotic hardware.
• Create electronics documentation, specifications, assembly instructions, and testing protocols.
• Lead and mentor a team of electronics engineers.
• Provide guidance to product managers and executives for strategic decisions.
• Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
• Improve design standards through design reviews.
