Sécheron SA in Genève is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical R&D Engineer to lead design efforts for robust, cost-efficient solutions in railway technology.

You will convert advanced concepts into practical designs, coach other engineers, and work within a multi-department team to support existing products and new developments. Proficiency in FEA tools and multidisciplinary knowledge is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Master/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics.
• Experience with tolerance management, robust design and DfX methods.
• Experience developing complex systems with electrical, mechanical and magnetic aspects.
• Ability to implement robust design into industrial products.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis in SolidWorks.

Requirements

• Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
• Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
• Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
• Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
• Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
• Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
• English (must), French and/or German (wish).
• Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
• Functional Analysis, FMEA.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
