The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing our next-generation of cryogenic microwave components that will enable the quantum computers of tomorrow. No prior experience in quantum physics is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize microwave components using electromagnetic simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS
- Collaborate closely with the fabrication team to validate designs and continuously refine product performance
- Design and develop test fixtures and measurement setups to evaluate the performance of our microwave components throughout production
- Analyze, document, and communicate validation results, and support the successful ramp-up of manufacturing and production
Must-Have Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, along with relevant industry or research experience
- Strong background in microwave engineering, including electromagnetic simulation (ANSYS HFSS), RF PCB design, and RF characterization using tools such as vector network analyzers (VNAs)
- Industry experience in developing products for manufacturing and supporting production or production ramp-up
- A collaborative, organized, and adaptable working style, with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience designing hardware for low-temperature environments and a basic understanding of cryogenic systems
- Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks for the design of fixtures and mechanical components
- A self-driven, independent work style with the ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results with minimal supervision
