Otis Elevator Company in Switzerland is seeking an experienced EHS leader to head the national EHS team and drive safety performance across our Fribourg operations.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Swiss health, safety and environmental regulations, developing robust training concepts, and partnering with authorities and internal stakeholders to implement preventive actions. You will report to the Senior Director EHS Central Europe.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Swiss EHS diploma.
• Swiss safety qualifications (UVG, EKAS 6508) and ASGS/SiBe if available.
• Proven experience in EHS and occupational safety in industrial settings.
• Fluent German and English; good knowledge of French desirable.
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland ~50%.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop the EHS team nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with SUVA, EKAS 6508, UVG, and environmental rules.
• Develop strategies to reduce workplace accidents and illnesses.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Advise leadership and collaborate with authorities and stakeholders.
• Manage EHS training programs for managers, employees, subcontractors.
• Analyze incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee EHS reporting and KPI management.
