Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Drilling Supervisor for a 4–6 month contract for a Deep Geothermal project based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The candidate will lead safe drilling operations, coordinate contractors and field teams, and ensure regulatory and company standards are met.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in onshore drilling or geothermal, strong leadership, and proven HSE adherence. IWCF Level 4 and OPITO H2S/MIST certifications are required, with experience in Continental Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in onshore oil & gas or deep geothermal drilling operations.
• At least 2 years of operational experience in Continental Europe.
• Proven leadership experience managing multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE, security, and environmental standards.
• Valid certifications: IWCF Level 4 OPITO H2S MIST or BOSIET OEUK Medical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture across all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate contractors, service providers, and field personnel to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor daily drilling activities, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions when required.
• Support drilling program execution and oversee contractor performance management.
• Manage operational risks and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
