Job summary

Coris Innovation is recruiting an experienced Digital Payload Systems Engineer to join an international satellite communications project based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

You will contribute to digital payload architectures, on-board processing, and SWaP-C analyses, coordinating with hardware, software and external partners through the full lifecycle, from design to in-orbit activities.

The role offers a direct permanent hire with a competitive package for an engineer with 8+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant professional experience in satellite telecommunications.
• Experience with digital and regenerative payloads.
• Knowledge of on-board processing and digital signal processing.
• Experience with modem architectures and channelization.
• Ability to translate mission needs into payload requirements.
• Experience with interfaces between payload hardware, software and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop digital telecommunications payload architectures.
• Contribute to on-board processing, regenerative payload and digital processing architectures.
• Translate mission and system needs into payload and subsystem requirements.
• Define and manage interfaces between payload hardware, software and digital subsystems.
• Perform system-level trade-offs and contribute to SWaP-C analyses.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners.
• Review and challenge technical solutions proposed by equipment suppliers.
• Support payload development throughout the design, integration, verification and qualification phases.
• Contribute to test definition, technical reviews and test-result analysis.
• Support AIT/AIV, launch preparation and in-orbit commissioning activities.
• Participate in major engineering and design reviews.
• Prepare and present technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
