Job summary

Coris Innovation is recruiting an experienced Digital Payload Systems Engineer to join an international satellite communications project based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

You will contribute to digital payload architectures, on-board processing, and SWaP-C analyses, coordinating with hardware, software and external partners through the full lifecycle, from design to in-orbit activities.

Qualifications

We are recruiting an experienced Digital Payload Systems Engineer to join an international satellite communications company and its R&D team based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This is a permanent position with direct employment by the end company.

The company is developing a new generation of satellite communication systems, with a particular focus on the digital and back-end architecture of telecommunications payloads. The position covers the full engineering lifecycle, from initial system definition and requirements flow-down through integration, qualification and in-orbit activities.

You will contribute to the definition and development of advanced satellite communication payload architectures, with a strong focus on digital and regenerative payload technologies.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Define and develop digital telecommunications payload architectures.
• Contribute to on-board processing, regenerative payload and digital processing architectures.

Profil recherché :

We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in satellite telecommunications and digital payload systems, ideally with at least eight years of relevant professional experience.

You should have experience in several of the following areas:

• Satellite telecommunications payload architecture.
• Digital and regenerative payloads.
• On-board processing and digital signal processing.
• Modem and communication-processing architectures.
• Digital routing, switching and channelization.
• Hardware/software payload architectures and interfaces.
• Satellite system engineering and requirements management.
• Payload equipment and subsystem development.
• Integration, verification and space qualification.
• Payload testing and in-orbit commissioning.

Experience with RF communication chains, antennas, TT&C, FPGA/SoC technologies, orbital analysis tools or satellite operations would be considered an advantage. However, deep RF expertise is not the primary focus of this position.

A Master's degree or PhD in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Space Systems or a related discipline is expected.

Candidates must hold Swiss or EU citizenship, or already possess a valid Swiss work permit.
