Albedis is seeking a Senior Data Protection & Recovery Engineer to design, operate and continuously improve a mission-critical backup and disaster recovery environment protecting highly sensitive enterprise systems and data assets.

You will work closely with infrastructure, storage and platform teams to ensure resilience, recoverability and compliance across complex enterprise environments.

Qualifikationen

• University-level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Several years of hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms in large-scale environments.
• Experience with data recovery testing and disaster recovery exercises.
• Strong knowledge of SAN storage environments and enterprise storage concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with UNIX-based operating systems.
• Experience automating operational procedures using scripting languages and automation tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure migration and modernization projects.
• ITIL knowledge; TOGAF certification advantageous.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Fluent in English; German and/or French advantageous.
• Valid CH work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship required.
• Willingness to work 100% on-site.

Candidate Profile

You hold a university-level qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline and bring several years of current, hands-on experience working with enterprise backup platforms in large-scale environments.

Additionally:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience administering enterprise backup solutions
• Proven experience with data recovery testing and disaster recovery exercises
• Strong knowledge of SAN storage environments and enterprise storage concepts
• Hands-on experience with Linux (preferably Red Hat) and Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with UNIX-based operating systems
• Experience automating operational procedures using scripting languages and automation tools
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure migration and modernization projects
• ITIL knowledge required; TOGAF certification advantageous
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Fluent in English; German and/or French advantageous
