Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, stability and ongoing development of the organisation’s database platforms in a global environment. You will ensure reliable performance and availability of critical systems while continuously improving automation, scalability and operational efficiency. The position combines hands-on engineering with infrastructure optimisation and close collaboration with cross-functional IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain database operations, including troubleshooting and incident management
• Implement changes and enhancements in line with established processes and governance frameworks
• Analyse system performance and resource utilisation, identifying improvement opportunities across the application lifecycle
• Develop and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to infrastructure development initiatives and actively support migration projects
• Execute recovery tests and provide second-level support, including participation in on-call rotations

Your Profile

You hold a higher-education degree in computer science or a related discipline and bring several years of current, hands-on experience in database engineering and operations within a complex IT environment. You are a reliable and solution-oriented professional with a strong sense of ownership and quality.
