Zusammenfassung

albedis is seeking a Senior Data Protection & Recovery Engineer in Basel to design, operate, and continuously improve a mission-critical backup and disaster recovery environment. You will work with infrastructure, storage and platform teams to ensure resilience and compliance across complex enterprise systems.

Requirements include 3–5 years of enterprise backup experience, Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server, ITIL, and SAN storage knowledge. Fluent English; German/French a plus.

Qualifikationen

• University-level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms in large-scale environments.
• Minimum 3–5 years administering enterprise backup solutions.
• Proven data recovery testing and disaster recovery exercises.
• Strong knowledge of SAN storage environments and enterprise storage concepts.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server environments; UNIX familiarity.
• Automation experience via scripting languages and automation tools.
• ITIL knowledge; TOGAF advantageous.

• Manage and optimize enterprise backup, recovery and retention services.
• Execute and document disaster recovery and recovery validation exercises.
• Design and implement automation and monitoring for backup operations.
• Contribute to backup platform upgrades and modernization projects.
• Perform root-cause investigations of backup/recovery failures.
• Collaborate with storage, virtualization and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
