Job summary

Try&Hire in Switzerland is seeking a Senior Data Platform Architect to lead the design, deployment, and scaling of an enterprise data platform. You will own end-to-end pipelines, build REST APIs with FastAPI, and drive CI/CD with GitLab in a hybrid, 100% workload environment.

You will mentor engineers, shape the roadmap for data and automation initiatives, work with PostgreSQL and DuckDB, and deploy dashboarding and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience owning data platform architectures and end-to-end pipelines in production.
• Expertise with Python and ETL/ELT orchestrators (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect).
• Hands-on with analytical databases such as PostgreSQL and DuckDB.
• Proficient in building backend services and APIs with FastAPI.
• Strong containerization and CI/CD experience (Docker, Docker Swarm, GitLab).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and LLM-driven docs.
• Proven ability to lead roadmaps and mentor engineers.
• English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data lakehouse.
• Integrate datasets across engineering teams for analytics.
• Develop full-stack internal data applications and REST APIs.
• Oversee deployment and DB administration (PostgreSQL).
• Own GitLab CI/CD pipelines and security configurations.
• Define roadmap for enterprise data and automation initiatives.
• Deploy dashboards, automation, and AI-assisted tooling.
