Job summary
Zühlke Group in Switzerland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and architectures across client projects. You will collaborate with clients to understand data needs and realise tailored solutions that drive business insights, while contributing to scalable data platforms in hybrid environments.
You will work with data scientists on machine learning models, develop meaningful dashboards, and assess performance and cost for various use cases.
Qualifications
- Big Data systems, scalable databases, cloud infrastructures, and distributed algorithms.
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Proficient in Python and SQL; hands-on with Hadoop/Spark ecosystem is a plus.
- Fluency in German and English required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with clients to understand data needs and translate them into solutions.
- Develop dashboards to visualize processed data for business insights.
- Work with data scientists on machine learning models and data preparation.
- Perform performance and cost estimations for various use cases.
