Avaloq in Switzerland seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable, governed data platform supporting security, audit, operational, and analytics workloads.

You will lead data architecture, ingestion pipelines, governance, and integration with analytics and security platforms while collaborating with security, infra, and applications teams. The role emphasizes batch and streaming pipelines and data quality within a hybrid work model.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field
• Strong SQL expertise including schema design and performance tuning
• Experience designing and operating batch and/or streaming data pipelines
• Familiarity with data lakehouse concepts and analytical storage technologies
• Experience with CI/CD and Git-based development practices
• Experience with security-relevant or regulated data

Aufgaben

• Design scalable data platform architectures for security, audit, operational and analytic data
• Define data storage schemas, models, partitioning, retention and lifecycle management
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines
• Build ingestion frameworks for logs, audit data, events, security telemetry, and operational datasets
• Implement data transformation, enrichment, normalization, and aggregation processes
• Ensure pipelines are reliable, observable, and scalable
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and applications teams to deliver high-quality data
• Integrate data from diverse platforms and enable analytics and reporting
