Zusammenfassung

Pax is a cooperative pension provider seeking a data engineer to shape our data-driven organisation. You will build scalable data warehouse solutions and reliable data pipelines in a cloud environment, enabling high-quality reporting and analytics across the company.

You will work with modern technologies such as Databricks, Spark, dbt and Azure Data Factory, while contributing to governance, data quality and data models.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role, ideally in a cloud environment.
• Experience in building and further developing data warehouse or analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant technologies (Databricks, Spark, dbt, Azure Data Factory, SQL or Python).
• Experience in building and optimising data pipelines and ELT processes.
• Understanding of data quality, governance and structured data models (e.g. Data Vault is an advantage).
• Experience with modern development practices (e.g. CI/CD, Git) is an advantage.
• Enjoy working with diverse stakeholders and finding solutions together.
• Structured, independent working style and interest in continuous development.

Aufgaben

• Design and further development of our data-driven organisation by contributing your own ideas.
• Development of scalable data warehouse and reporting solutions (using Data Vault, dbt and Spark).
• Integration of data from various sources and development of reliable data pipelines.
• Ensuring high-quality data for reporting and analytics (using Power BI).
• Optimisation of existing business processes regarding performance, stability and data quality.
• Participation in the further development of our system landscape towards modern cloud architecture.
• Contribution to topics such as governance, CI/CD and engineering standards.
• Close collaboration with departments and support in data-based decision-making.
