Job summary

ALLPS is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize an enterprise-wide data platform in Basel on a 3-year contract. You will break down data silos and construct scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to deliver clean, structured data for BI, analytics, and AI initiatives.

You will architect end-to-end data ingestion channels, implement scalable data lakes and data warehouses, enforce governance with RBAC, and map metadata while ensuring data quality and security across the

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience building enterprise data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Fluent German communication in business context (C1/C2) and collaboration with multilingual teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect ingestion pipelines and real-time streaming jobs.
• Scale data lakes and centralized data warehouses (Delta Lake/house).
• Enforce data governance, RBAC, and data quality validation gates.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata mappings, and dictionary schemas.
• Provide automated monitoring and security scanning for data flows.
