The opportunity

To support the growth of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Switzerland, we are hiring additional qualified professionals in Zurich/Basel. This role focuses on supporting our US-Focused Markets Group (US-FMG). The individual will develop and lead US GAAP and US capital markets FAAS projects across various industries, engaging with clients to provide tailored solutions where off-the-shelf options are unavailable.

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with EY FAAS leadership in Switzerland and Germany to develop strategies that meet high client expectations
• Work with other service lines and experts to deliver integrated services across functions in an international team
• Manage and deliver US GAAP / US capital markets FAAS projects, contributing to the growth of the US-FMG
• Ensure client needs and expectations are fully understood to develop clear, accurate, and well-presented deliverables
• Deliver work timely and in compliance with regulatory standards
• Identify and develop new opportunities for FAAS projects, solutions, and client relationships

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor or Master degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance), with additional relevant professional certifications (e.g., US CPA, Swiss CPA, ACCA, CFA)
• 4 to 7 years of experience in audit or consulting, focusing on US GAAP, PCAOB, SOX, SEC, and US capital market transactions
• Advisory experience with capital markets transactions such as IPOs, debt listings, or carve-out transactions is highly valued
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus for supporting GAAP conversion projects
• Proven leadership in managing and mentoring high-performing teams
• Strong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledge
• Proactive, flexible, team-oriented, with a willingness to go the extra mile
• Ability to build and maintain networks in a fast-paced, international environment
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written); German and French are advantageous.
