Your contribution to KPMG

• Support with financial and regulatory audits for insurance companies according to national and international accounting standards (e.g. OR, IFRS, US GAAP).
• Conduct independent recalculations or assumption reviews of technical provisions within the framework of financial audits or responsible actuary mandates.
• Immerse in hands-on actuarial consulting across Swiss Solvency Test (SST), Solvency II, capital modeling, actuarial model validation and due diligence.
• Solve complex problems for insurance & reinsurance clients and support clients with the actuarial aspects of finance transformation programs.
• Automatize existing processes, develop new solutions to analyze, evaluate and visualize actuarial data in R, Python or PowerBI.
• Collaborate with accounting, tax, and corporate finance professionals to bring integrated solutions to our clients.
• Build a professional network and interact with internal and external contacts.

This is what makes you successful

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or physics.
• Studying for or newly qualified actuary SAV/DAV/FIA/CAS or equivalent actuarial qualification
• Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, independent and outgoing personality who fosters collaboration
• 2-6 years of experience within the non-life insurance industry in an actuarial position.
• Strong IT skills: specifically in MS Office and good knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Python or R), experience with actuarial software a plus.
• Fluent German and English, French an additional asset.
