The EY Business Consulting team offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry across Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. The Financial Services industry is experiencing significant technological change. This is an exciting time to join an evolving team and help our clients navigate these changes and add value to their businesses. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will lead transformation initiatives in WAM, BCM, and insurance, focusing on technology design, planning, and delivering technology-enabled solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading business-led, technology-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Managing and delivering project streams and internal initiatives.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, business partners, and multidisciplinary teams to develop ideas and design solutions leveraging technology as a competitive advantage.
- Presenting recommendations to clients using storytelling skills in a clear and analytical manner.
- Utilizing and enhancing EY’s global methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for various transformation objectives.
- Organizing and leading internal and external roundtables and thought leadership sessions on business-led, technology-enabled transformation.
- Co-hosting events and preparing targeted communications for clients.
- Supporting go-to-market strategies and business development to provide innovative solutions in a technology-driven environment.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Innovative mindset with a desire to solve problems and generate new ideas.
- Interest and understanding of AI, data, and technology topics, with a good grasp of private banking.
- 1-3 years of practical experience in data-driven environments, including AI projects, data governance, security, architecture review, data quality, or analytics tools implementation.
- Strong academic background from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Motivation to work in a dynamic consulting environment within the financial services sector.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all management levels and business functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, business judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
- Team-oriented with a client-focused attitude, proactive in driving solutions across diverse teams and geographies.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German, Swiss German, or additional languages is advantageous.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience in managing technology transformation projects, including dependency tracking among projects or streams.
- Skills in Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering.
- Experience with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Background in large transformation projects involving multiple providers.
- Knowledge or interest in API design, Robotic Process Automation, AI, Cloud implementation, or Python.
- Leadership experience in small project teams is a plus.
