Zusammenfassung

Auterion AG is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to design and optimize perception systems that run in real time on embedded aerial platforms. You will cover classical CV and deep learning, sensor calibration, and field testing with pilots and integrators.

Responsibilities include end-to-end CV development, model training/optimization for constrained hardware, and close collaboration with hardware and software teams. EU citizens only, Zurich area.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on deployment of computer vision on resource-constrained platforms, ideally robotic or aerial.
• Solid grounding in classical computer vision and deep learning for detection/classification.
• Experience with timing and synchronization across sensors; debugging timing issues.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with OpenCV experience.
• End-to-end CV work from problem definition to real deployment.
• Willingness for field work and travel to test sites; strong cross-team collaboration.
• EU citizenship required.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement and optimize onboard perception algorithms for real-time detection and state estimation.
• Train, retrain and evaluate neural networks, including data collection and labeling strategies.
• Optimize models/pipelines for embedded inference within latency/compute budgets.
• Develop and maintain camera calibration and sensor synchronization procedures.
• Combine visual data with inertial//platform data using filtering and estimation.
• Plan and run field test campaigns and iterate from bench to flight.
• Create repeatable evaluation methods to measure performance across iterations.
• Contribute to hardware option evaluations and sensor/compute selection.
• Take ownership of computer vision deliverables and align with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and raise product quality.
