AVIAN seeks an Applications Engineer to build monitoring apps using computer vision. You will deploy AI-based solutions on edge devices, collaborate with clients on-site in Zurich, and work with hardware teams to meet strict specifications.

This role offers direct engineering collaboration, mission-critical impact, and hands-on experience across software and industrial IoT. You will join a team of experts in CV, ML, and hardware, contributing to scalable products and real-world fire prevention

Qualifikationen

Your goals will be to help us build out new monitoring applications using computer vision. We are developing brand new technologies for infrared cameras on the cutting edge of machine learning and computer vision.The main difference - We build things that matter.This is not another SaaS job.You will be visiting clients on-site, working closely with their teams and building products to strict specifications. You will be joining a team of expert computer vision practitioners that have harnessed their skills through years of field and academic work. Our team members have been published in top robotics and AI journals globally.

Your profile

As an Applications Engineer on the AVIAN team, we expect the following must haves:

• Deep expertise in computer vision, both classical and AI approaches
• Comfortable taking your algorithms from the lab to deployment on edge devices
• Model acceleration, pruning, and evaluation techniques
• Comfortable interfacing with customers and translating their needs into code
• Hardware experience with various types of camera sensors across the electromagnetic spectrum
• Mastery of English
• Linux and embedded systems expertise, including hardware interfaces and real-time deployment constraints
