IQVIA is seeking a Senior Clinical Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic planning, oversight, and delivery of clinical supply chains across global studies. The role drives operational excellence, supports continuous improvement, and evolves CTS processes, systems and capabilities.

Key responsibilities include translating protocols into supply solutions, forecasting demand, coordinating packaging campaigns, managing IRT systems, and overseeing distribution with vendors, while ensuring regulatory

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Life Sciences or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Clinical Supply Chain Management in the clinical trials industry.
  • Hands-on experience with IRT systems for planning and management.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple priorities.
  • Strong internal/external stakeholder relationships and communication.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal skills.

Descripción del empleo

The Senior Clinical Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, oversight, and delivery of a portfolio of clinical supply chain projects, ensuring the effective and timely provision of clinical trial supplies across global studies. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the ongoing evolution and optimisation of Clinical Trial Supplies processes, systems, and capabilities.

Essential Functions
  • Interpret clinical trial protocols to create and execute an effective clinical trial supply chain solution.
  • Create master English label text in accordance with relevant regulatory framework (e.g. Annex 13).
  • Create and maintain demand forecasts and packaging plans so that packed clinical supplies are readily available in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Initiate packaging campaigns with the assigned vendor and provide oversight to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Setup, monitor, and where necessary, update study assigned Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems to ensure study inventory is effectively managed.
  • Create an appropriate distribution plan and have oversight of the assigned vendor(s) executing it.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to ensure that the supply of all trial materials is delivered to the right place at the right time.
  • Provide ongoing budget tracking activities so that projects are run efficiently and in accordance with client approved quotations.
  • Maintains 100% compliance on all assigned training and applies learnings to everyday practice.
  • Remain up to date in all GxP and regulatory requirements applicable to the role.
  • Leads client and vendor related meetings where necessary to discuss clinical supply chain topics or status updates.
  • Creates a Temperature Excursion management plan.
  • Manages the review and assessment process of Temperature Excursions reported to the IQVIA Clinical Trial Supplies team.
  • Conducts thorough and regular risk management assessments to ensure all risks are systematically reviewed and appropriate mitigations are executed.
  • Support client bid defence meetings as required.
  • Supports the development and optimisation of the CTS department and processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Clinical Supply Chain Management within the clinical trials industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems, including their use in clinical trial supply planning and management.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and influence outcomes.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
