Lever, Inc. is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer – ClickHouse Committer for a fully remote role based in Europe, focused on advanced database engineering and real-time analytics workloads.

You will contribute to ClickHouse and PostgreSQL ecosystem integrations, engage in systems programming, performance engineering, and open-source development, with significant ownership and collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience developing database internals (PostgreSQL or comparable)
• Deep systems programming expertise in C/C++, Rust, or Go
• Strong understanding of databases, algorithms, data structures, and OS internals
• Experience with distributed query optimizers and analytical workloads
• Experience with Linux development and debugging
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain database features with a focus on ClickHouse and real-time analytics
• Contribute to analytics products and PostgreSQL ecosystem integrations
• Write regression tests and ensure software stability, reliability, and performance
• Review code and provide constructive feedback
• Investigate and resolve complex database and systems issues
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and upstream ClickHouse contributions
• Work autonomously in a fully distributed, remote engineering environment
