Job summary

Leica Geosystems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to shape the C++ core of our data-modelling SDK. You will design domain models, data structures and persistence, enable a common data foundation for multiple products, and apply Domain-Driven Design to ensure scalable, future-proof data management.

You will work in a test-driven, AI-augmented environment with strong quality gates, contribute to GraphQL federation, and lead technical reviews while mentoring colleagues in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building production software in modern C++ (C++17/20).
• Strong grasp of data modelling, data structures and persistence with DDD.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants for code generation, testing and documentation.
• Modern, test‑driven development in an agile environment with automation.
• Git and CI/CD experience; fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve the C++ core of the data management SDK — domain models, data structures and APIs.
• Ensure consistency and future-proof modelling via Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Support end-to-end data round-trip vision from CDE to federated synchronisation and GraphQL federation.
• Write clean code with strong test coverage and maintain SonarQube quality gates.
• Embed AI-assisted engineering and mentor team members; drive architectural decisions.
