Job summary

LocalBini AG is hiring a Co-Tech Lead & Senior Backend Engineer to shape scalable backend systems and cloud infrastructure. You will work with Python, Terraform on AWS, and contribute to testing, documentation, and collaboration with data scientists.

The role is hybrid/remote with occasional in-office meetings. Stock-based compensation applies for the next 12 months. Ideal for an 8+ year backend expert ready to drive architecture and platform growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on commercial Python experience.
• Proficient with React, AWS (Lambda, S3, SES, SQS), Python, Terraform, and Flutter.
• Extensive Python expertise, focusing on building REST APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, incl. DynamoDB & OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with ORM-based approaches using PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Terraform within an AWS environment.
• Strong understanding of asyncio loops, aiohttp, and AWS EventBridge.
• Experience in Event-Driven and Microservices Architectures.
• Knowledge about Domain Driven Development approach.
• Basic understanding of React with Redux and Redux Toolkit using TypeScript.
• Highly experienced with AWS Cognito and AWS Amplify.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Proficient in platform testing: Unit tests, Integration tests and UI tests.
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline maintenance expertise (GitLab).
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity, including the ability to conduct and understand automated penetration tests.
• Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Capability for self-code review and proficiency in project management tools like JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with System-Architect to maintain high-quality architecture and scalable development.
• Partner with remote development team and St. Gallen business team to refine software solution.
• Build robust back-end applications using Python for performance and reliability.
• Develop infrastructure with Terraform on AWS for scalable ecosystem.
• Conduct thorough testing for responsiveness and security of data.
• Apply mobile-responsive design principles for cross-device usability.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists to enhance LocalBini experiences.
