SCIEX is seeking a Senior Application Support Specialist (d/f/m) to deliver high‑quality technical support for mass spectrometry in Pharma and Clinical/Forensic markets. The role is field based in Switzerland (Basel area) and involves pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, method development, and collaboration with the SCIEX Application Network.

The role requires a degree/PhD in chemistry or life sciences, strong analytical chemistry and MS experience, fluent German and English (French a plus),

Qualifikationen

• Degree/PhD in chemistry, life sciences or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in analytical chemistry and mass spectrometry method development.
• Awareness of HPLC-MS technologies and applications; experience with SCIEX instrumentation is beneficial.
• Fluent in German with strong English; French is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.

Aufgaben

• Provide high‑quality pre‑sales support to Sales through customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars and workshops.
• Provide post‑sales support, in‑house and on‑site training, and timely customer support to increase satisfaction.
• Collect and relay field information on competition, market conditions and opportunities to Sales & Marketing.
• Liaise with local, European and global networks to resolve customer problems quickly and provide input for new features.
• Travel across the EMEA region to engage customers and provide onsite support and troubleshooting.

The Senior Application Support Specialist (d/f/m) provides high-quality technical support and expert advice to customers using our mass spectrometry products in the Pharma and Clinical/Forensic market. You will enhance your knowledge through access to cutting-edge technology, assist customers in developing methods, attend technical conferences, interact with key opinion leaders, and actively participate in the Sciex Application Network. This position is part of the Central European (DACH) Support Organization and will be located in Switzerland, preferably Basel area and will be a field based role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Provide efficient and successful pre-sales support to Sales through customer visits, product/application demonstrations, seminars/lectures/workshops and sample analysis
• Provide post-sales Support, in -house and on -site training, visiting customers and telephone support in a timely and professional manner and by increasing customer satisfaction
• Gather, analyze and deliver information from the field to local and European Sales & Marketing on competitive activity, market conditions and product opportunities to allow the Company to develop strategies and products
• Liaise with local, European and global network to solve customer problems quickly and efficiently. Provide internal feedback on technical problems and input into new product features
• Travel across the EMEA region to drive customer engagement, provide onsite support, training, troubleshooting and technical expertise

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Degree/PhD in chemistry, life sciences or equivalent experience
• Proven track record in analytical chemistry: chromatographic and mass spectrometry method development and troubleshooting, ideally focused Pharma and Clinical/Forensic workflows on Nominal as well as Accurate Mass Spectrometry
• Awareness of HPLC-MS technologies and applications. Experience on SCIEX instrumentation is beneficial
• Fluent in German and good verbal and written English language skills and Fluent French language skills is an advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
