Position Summary

For our team in Basel, we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working in the group consolidation department.

Your role

• Financial Stewardship: Prepare, maintain, and reconcile key financial documents, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, capital expenditure reports, and VAT declarations.
• End-to-End Closings: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings under both US GAAP and Swiss GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Insightful Analysis: Provide financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, offering top-tier financial support and driving business decisions with financial acumen.
• Audit Excellence: Ensure audit readiness, supporting internal and external audits with accuracy and professionalism.

Your profile

• Commercial accounting education.
• Several years of experience in a similar role within an international company.
• Results-driven attitude – you execute with precision, accountability, and a customer-centric mindset.
• Fluent in English (oral and written); knowledge of German is a plus.
• Expertise in Swiss GAAP and US GAAP.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP (R/3, S4).
