Job summary

ten23 health is seeking a Senior Accountant to close the Swiss entity in Visp and support other Swiss entities. You will manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensure VAT and tax closings, and drive automation in our ERP. The role requires 5+ years in financial accounting, strong CO knowledge, and a hands-on mindset.

Your mission

80-100% FTE I Visp

As Senior Accountant, you prepare the closings of our our Swiss entity in Visp and support our other Swiss entities. You are the day-to-day expert contact for financial accounting, reporting and controls. You don’t just work within existing processes, you make them better, from the internal control system to automation in our ERP. You will work at our Visp site at least three days per week, close to our operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Closing & financial reporting

• Together with the colleagues hold overall responsibility for our monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of our Swiss entity in Visp under Swiss CO, including accruals, provisions, fixed asset accounting and account reconciliations.
• Ensure intercompany reconciliations and resolve differences promptly.
• Prepare audit documentation and respond to requests from our statutory auditors.
• Together with the accountants at our other sites, ensure VAT returns and tax closings in collaboration with external advisors.
• Support our project to transition to an international accounting standard and own reporting and reconciliations under IFRS or US GAAP.

Internal control system

• Play a key part in building our internal control system (ICS) under Swiss law and document processes, risks and controls for our organization.
• Keep work instructions and accounting policies for your processes up to date together with our Senior Controller.
• Act as system and process owner, define key controls and segregation of duties in Finance and in the ERP, and monitor their effective performance.

System and Processes Owner

• Own the further development of the record-to-report process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, prioritise automation initiatives and drive their implementation hands-on with our ERP partner.
• Test new functionality and changes together with our ERP partner and ensure clean master data.

Your profile

We are looking for a motivated and committed professional who is ready to actively grow with us, combining in-depth technical knowledge with a pronounced cooperative spirit.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Swiss Federal Diploma as Specialist in Finance and Accounting (Fachfrau/Fachmann Finanz- und Rechnungswesen mit eidg. Fachausweis) preferred, or as Fiduciary Specialist (Treuhänder:in mit eidg. Fachausweis); alternatively an equivalent international qualification (ACCA, CPA).
• At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in industry, life sciences or other manufacturing industries.
• Confident closing under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and hands-on experience with IFRS or US GAAP
• Experience working within an internal control system under Swiss law, experience in building and documenting of such is an advantage.
• Track record of process improvements and automation in ERP systems; knowledge of Business Central or Navision is an advantage
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power Query or Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work on site in Visp at least three days per week
• Hands-on mindset, high accuracy and enjoyment in understanding processes thoroughly and making them better
