Job summary

Laurastar SA in Switzerland seeks a Senior Accountant to own accounting, tax and statutory compliance for the entity and support Swiss and group closings.

You will manage the full accounting cycle for entities (Germany focus), handle VAT/Intrastat, payroll journals, intercompany cash transfers, audits, and contribute to Finance transformation including an Oracle Fusion rollout. Travel within Europe may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of international, multi-currency accounting experience.
Experience with VAT, Intrastat and statutory financial statements.
Solid knowledge of full-cycle general ledger accounting.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP); Oracle Fusion is a plus.
Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Own accounting, tax and statutory compliance for Laurastar Deutschland.
Manage full accounting cycle for entities, incl. GL postings, accruals and closings.
Prepare VAT and Intrastat returns with external advisors.
Record payroll journals and monthly reconciliations.
Coordinate external audits and support Swiss/Group closings.
Contribute to Finance transformation and Oracle Fusion rollout.

To strengthen our Finance team at our headquarters in Châtel-St- , we are looking for our future,

As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the accounting, tax and statutory compliance of our entity while actively contributing to the Swiss and Group closing activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, supporting international operations and participating in Finance transformation projects.

Your key responsibilities:

Own accounting, tax and statutory compliance for Laurastar Deutschland.
Manage the full accounting cycle for assigned entities, mainly Germany (GL postings, accruals, provisions and monthly closings).
Prepare and submit VAT and Intrastat returns in cooperation with external advisors.
Record payroll journals and perform monthly reconciliations.
Manage local recycling taxes and related audits.
Prepare cash reporting and intercompany cash transfers.
Prepare year-end closings, statutory financial statements and tax return data.
Coordinate external audit requests for assigned entities, notably Switzerland and Germany.
Support Swiss accounting activities and contribute to Group monthly and annual closings.
Support the Hungarian AP/AR team when required.
Maintain process documentation and contribute to ICT and ISO audit requirements.
Participate in the Oracle Fusion rollout and Finance process automation initiatives.

Technical Competencies:

Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
At least 5 years of experience in international, multi-currency and intercompany accounting.
Strong experience managing full-cycle general ledger accounting.
Solid knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion is a plus).
Proven use of financial and digital tools such as Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and Power Automate.
Comfortable using AI tools such as Copilot, or ChatGPT, with a genuine interest in automation and efficiency.
Fluent (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Fluent French and English.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in an international, multi-entity environment.
Experience with Swiss and European accounting practices, particularly Germany.
Proven knowledge of statutory financial statements, VAT and Intrastat reporting.
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP; ERP implementation experience is an asset.
