Zusammenfassung

CERN's Computer Security Office is seeking a Computing Engineer to help maintain and extend its Security Operations Centre and secure CERN's contracted external cloud services. You will work with open source tools such as Zeek, OpenSearch, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes and MISP, strengthening incident detection and response and advising on cloud security configurations.

Hybrid work, 40 hours per week, 24 months with possible extension, starting 01-October-2026.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in design of networks and knowledge of communication technologies and protocols.
• Experience in administration of computing systems and maintenance (preventive and corrective).
• Experience in computer security, secure configurations, security analysis, and cloud security.

Aufgaben

• Take an active role in maintaining, supporting, and extending the SOC using open source technologies (Zeek, OpenSearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, MISP).
• Configure external cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) with strong security settings.
• Review the security posture and configuration of Microsoft and Google SaaS cloud configurations.
