Roche Basel seeks a Scientist, Cell Engineering and Phenotypic Screening Models to develop foundational cellular models powering drug discovery within Small Molecule Research Discovery. The role is 100% lab-based and focuses on building robust assays for phenotypic screening.

You will design and validate disease-relevant cellular models, apply CRISPR/Cas genome editing, generate stable cell lines, and enable scalable workflows for imaging and screening.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in cell biology or molecular biology.
• Hands-on experience in advanced cell culture techniques, including iPSC differentiation.
• Extensive experience with CRISPR/Cas genome editing and stable cell line generation.
• Experience with high-content imaging and phenotypic screening.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Aufgaben

• Design, engineer, validate and optimize disease-relevant cellular models at scale for phenotypic screening and small molecule discovery.
• Apply diverse cell engineering approaches including CRISPR/Cas, vector design, reporters, and stable lines to build robust assays.
• Translate cellular models into scalable, reproducible workflows for high-content imaging and screening.
• Collaborate across therapeutic areas, automation, data analysis and chemistry teams to interpret results and support decisions.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture that pushes scientific boundaries.
