Job summary

DSM-Firmenich AG is seeking a Savory Associate Application Technologist to turn flavors and ingredients into soups, sauces, and snacks. You will work hands-on in labs, create prototypes, and support sensory evaluation with reporting and presentation.

You will learn from flavor experts and build technical, creative, and collaborative skills to become a technologist. You will coordinate savory projects, develop application bases, and participate in formulation work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering or related discipline; 1–3 years of industry experience.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
• Experience in supporting savory or flavor applications; formulation skills in food systems.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support flavor applications and related activities across savory projects.
• Develop savory application bases and prototype concepts with DSM flavors and ingredients.
• Participate in savory formulation work and collaboration with technical partners.
• Support sensory tastings, record data, recipes, and observations clearly.
• Attend global customer meetings and technical discussions with sales and senior colleagues.
