Job summary

Georg Fischer in Schaffhausen is seeking an experienced SAP professional to lead SD and OTC projects, from requirements through deployment and hypercare, with a focus on global rollouts and continuous improvement.

You will translate business needs into sustainable SAP solutions, design and configure S/4HANA processes, integrate with FI/MM/CRM, and mentor colleagues while traveling up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Higher education in a relevant discipline (IT, economics, etc.).
• At least 6–8 years of practical SAP experience in SD, OTC and related modules.
• Strong project and change management experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to navigate complex interactions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across functions and levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; German knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP SD and OTC projects, rollouts, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives from requirements through deployment and hypercare.
• Design and configure SAP S/4HANA Sales processes including order management, pricing, shipping, billing and EDI.
• Translate business requirements into sustainable functional and technical SAP solutions aligned with the global template.
• Develop and enhance ABAP-based solutions (ABAP Objects, CDS views, API exposure).
• Ensure reliable integration with SAP and non-SAP systems (FI, MM, CRM, MES, WMS, e-commerce).
• Partner with IT, Sales and Finance; mentor colleagues and stakeholders.

In the context of a natural succession, we are happy to announce a new vacancy in our internal SAP team. In this role you will be managing a vast number of different projects, ranging from small local process improvements to big global system roll-outs. The role is ideal for somebody who enjoys this diversity and who is flexible and nimble enough to adapt accordingly. Besides a solid technical understanding, we are looking for somebody who has the necessary communication and influencing skills to be successful in this job. The role is based at our global HQ in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

Your main tasks

• Leading SAP SD and Order-to-Cash projects, rollouts, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives from requirements through deployment and hypercare
• Designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP S/4HANA Sales processes, including sales order management, pricing, shipping, billing, intercompany processing, output management, and EDI
• Translating business requirements into sustainable functional and technical solutions aligned with the global template and SAP clean-core principles
• Developing and enhancing solutions using modern ABAP techniques, including ABAP Objects, enhancement frameworks, CDS views, OData services, and APIs
• Ensuring reliable integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions, including FI, MM, PP, WM, CRM, MES, WMS, e-commerce platforms, and customer portals
• Cross-functional project management and close collaboration with IT, sales, finance a.o.
• Mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and providing expert guidance to key users and business stakeholders.4

Your profile

• Higher education in a relevant discipline (IT, economics, etc.)
• At least 6-8 years of practical experience in a similar role (in-house or on agency side), deep SAP knowledge in relevant modules and applications
• Above-the-average project and change management experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to accurately assess complex interactions and dependencies
• Strong influencing skills, ability to communicate effectively with different functions and on all levels
• Curious and proactive learner who follows SAP innovations and challenges established ways of working constructively.
• Readyness to travel up to 20%
• Fluent English required, knowledge of German a plus
