NEURA Robotics in Zürich seeks a hardware design engineer to transform visual and industrial design visions into feasible, robust body components for humanoid robots. You will translate concepts into precise technical documents and production-ready parts, including castings, housings, link elements, and protective shells that match the robot’s appearance.

You’ll bridge visual design with mechanical engineering, define fits and surface specs for high-precision assemblies, create assembly drawings

Qualifikationen

• Experience producing manufacturing drawings for complex parts.
• Proficiency in CREO or similar CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, castings and robotic assemblies.
• Ability to balance visual design with mechanical feasibility.
• Familiarity with FEM, robotic standards and DFM.
• Experience with CAD tool suites used in robotics development.

Aufgaben

• Translate visual concepts and CAD models into clear 2D drawings and 3D production documentation.
• Develop manufacturing-ready designs for structural and aesthetic robot body components.
• Define fits, tolerances, and surface specifications for high-precision assemblies.
• Create assembly drawings, exploded views, and build instructions.
• Support integration of joint modules, torso/limb shells, and mounting points with visual geometry.
• Resolve mechanical design issues while preserving visual intent.
• Contribute to iterative prototypes and design improvements.
• Maintain accurate BOMs for all body components.
