It's in charge of designing, constructing, and optimizing the robot's physical components, including mechanical parts, sensors, and electrical systems. The team collaborates closely with other departments, like software development and product management, to ensure that the hardware aligns seamlessly with software and system requirements. This involves tasks like mechanical design and prototyping of components, using CAD tools and 3D printing technologies.

Your mission & challenges
In our humanoid robotics department, we are seeking several outstanding humanoid robot developers to join our team. Your responsibilities will be:
- Creation, maintenance, and approval of technical drawings suitable for production and assembly
- Derivation of individual part and assembly drawings from 3D CAD models
- Definition of dimensional, geometric, and positional tolerances (GD&T)
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and drawing guidelines (e.g., ISO, DIN)
- Creation and maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs) and drawing derivations
- Close cooperation with development engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Support in design reviews with a focus on drawing quality and manufacturability
- Implementation of changes (ECR/ECO) and version management
- Ensuring documentation quality throughout the entire product life cycle
Requirements
- Must-have:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, technical drawing, technical product design, or comparable field
- Very good knowledge of technical drawing
- Confident use of CAD systems (CREO, SolidWorks, NX)
- Very good knowledge of:
- Dimensioning & tolerancing
- Form and position tolerances (ISO GPS)
- Surface specifications
- Material selection
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, CFRP)
- Structured, detailed, and reliable way of working
- Good knowledge of German or English
- Nice-to-have:
- Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or complex assemblies
- Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, SolidWorks PDM)
- Experience with change management processes
- Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing drawings
