Job summary

Mimic Robotics AG in Zürich is seeking a Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer to bring our AI capabilities to customer robotic platforms. You will integrate models, optimize software and hardware stacks, and drive deployment; collaborating with customer engineers to tailor solutions.

You will build scalable tooling, define deployment requirements, and monitor performance while communicating risks to stakeholders. Fluency in English and willingness to travel for deployments are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in CS, Robotics, AI, EE, or ME.
• Strong robotics background and understanding of physical AI/robotics systems.
• Excellent software engineering skills with ability to design, implement, test robust solutions.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or similar frameworks.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems on real robotic hardware.
• Ability to build repeatable and scalable solutions rather than one-off integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work across AI, software, and robotics.
• Excellent communication and willingness to travel for deployments; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and deploy mimic's AI models on different robotic platforms and hardware stacks.
• Adapt software, training, and deployment stack to new robots, sensors, and environments.
• Work directly with customer engineering teams to integrate and optimize their robotics stack.
• Diagnose AI, software, and robotics integration issues and drive them to resolution.
• Build scalable tooling and workflows for deploying, monitoring, and improving our models.
• Define technical requirements and implement features that improve model productization.
• Own deployment planning and execution, coordinating across customers and internal teams.
• Translate deployment learnings into improvements for our AI, robotics, and product stack.
• Track deployment performance and communicate progress and technical risks to stakeholders.
