As we expand our European retail footprint, we are looking for a dynamic Retail Manager to lead our flagship boutique in Basel, the home of Carnault.

Your Role

As Retail Manager, you will be the cornerstone of Carnault’s presence in Basel, responsible for both the day-to-day running of our boutique and the strategic development of new sales channels. You will serve as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional experiences to our customers while building long-term value through meaningful relationships and commercial innovation.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development

·Lead and inspire a team to deliver customer service excellence.

·Foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering staff to embody Carnault’s values.

·Develop the team’s capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance feedback.

Client Experience & Relationship Management

·Uphold and enhance customer service excellence, ensuring every interaction is purposeful, elegant, and memorable.

·Build and nurture long-term relationships with discerning clients, fostering loyalty and brand advocacy.

·Curate personalized client experiences that reflect the quiet sophistication of Carnault.

Operational Excellence

·Oversee all aspects of boutique operations, maintaining a seamless and elegant environment.

·Ensure visual merchandising and boutique presentation reflect Carnault’s understated elegance.

·Maintain inventory accuracy, operational compliance, and a consistently high standard of store maintenance.

Sales & Business Performance

·Drive sales by combining strategic planning with hands-on leadership.

·Analyze boutique performance, identifying opportunities to optimize results.

·Set ambitious, achievable goals and motivate the team to exceed them.

Brand Representation & Community Engagement

·Act as a brand ambassador, representing Carnault at events, partnerships, and community initiatives.

·Strengthen Carnault’s presence within the Basel community through thoughtful local engagement.

·Collaborate with marketing and HQ teams to align boutique initiatives with broader brand strategies.

Who You Are

·A visionary leader with 5+ years of experience in retail or boutique management, preferably within a high-end or premium environment.

·An entrepreneurial mindset with a refined approach to customer engagement and brand representation.

·Fluent in English and German; French is an asset.

·An exceptional communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships.

·Naturally poised, confident, and comfortable leading in a high-calibre environment.
