Novartis, a temporary contractor opportunity hosted by Magnit Global, seeks scientists to advance single-cell and spatial omics research at the intersection of biology, data science, and translational science. The assignment is onsite in Basel, starting Nov 2026, for 18 months with potential extension.

You will develop and optimize NGS-based methods, work with challenging clinical samples, and deliver FAIR-compliant data and actionable insights to project teams.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in life sciences with 1–2 years genomics experience.
• Direct experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows.
• Proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR and library preparation.
• Experience with challenging clinical samples (FFPE, primary tumor cells).
• Ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial multi-omics methods.
• Independently perform experiments, analyze data, and generate high-quality reports.
• Apply scientific rigor to ensure FAIR data.
• Collaborate with wet lab and bioinformatics teams to interpret sequencing datasets.
• Present protocols and results to internal stakeholders.
