Zusammenfassung

Magnit Global is seeking a temporary contractor to support Novartis in Basel on single-cell and spatial omics research. The role involves developing and implementing NGS methods, collaborating with wet-lab and bioinformatics teams, and delivering rigorous, FAIR-compliant data.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a life sciences field and has 1–2 years of industry experience in genomics and spatial techniques, with strong communication skills in English.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• 1-2 years industry experience specifically in genomics, in-situ hybridization, imaging and spatial techniques.
• Direct, demonstrable experience with advanced molecular technologies, particularly Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows.

Aufgaben

• Develop, evaluate, and implement innovative NGS methods and protocols, with emphasis on single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial multimodal applications or multi-omics applications to enhance platform capabilities and provide comprehensive insights into disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets
• Independently perform experiments, analyze data, and generate high-quality reports
• Apply scientific rigor to ensure the generation of FAIR-compliant data
• Collaborate with wet lab and bioinformatics teams to interpret complex sequencing datasets and provide actionable insights to project teams
• Present protocols and results to internal stakeholders
