Job summary

Roche in Basel is seeking a diligent Research Associate to join the non-malignant hematology group within pRED CM I2. You will design and execute in vitro and ex vivo experiments to evaluate novel therapies for bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and von Willebrand disease.

You will validate novel systems, apply confocal imaging, and collaborate closely with the team to interpret data and optimize test platforms for efficacy and safety assessments.

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc in Life Sciences or equivalent, plus 3+ years experience.
• Experience with confocal microscopy and live cell imaging.
• Experience with in vitro/ex vivo hemostasis models and related assays.

Responsibilities

• Validate and apply novel in vitro systems (e.g., organ-on-a-chip) for bleeding disorders.
• Apply imaging technologies to analyze in vitro test systems using patient plasma.
• Collaborate to design and interpret data on efficacy, safety and mode of action of novel therapies.
• Contribute to data capture, storage, and assay automation, and present findings in team meetings.
