Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Scrum Master for a remote EU role, working with a major client and its IT team on-site for the initial assignment. The position is a B2B contract with remote work options, requiring strong Agile expertise and extensive Scrum experience across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate will lead sprint ceremonies, coordinate cross-team activities, and drive data-driven improvements, with excellent English and a track record of delivering predictable software releases.

Qualifications

• University Degree and at least 8 years of IT professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years as Scrum Master at SM2 level or above.
• Led at least 2 production teams through full sprint cycles.
• Experience with data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of SAFe, Nexus, LeSS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with product owner to manage the backlog.
• Coach team on empiricism and incremental delivery.
• Track flow metrics and use dashboards to forecast performance.
• Ensure Definition of Done and quality gates are followed.
• Promote empowered, self-organising teams and psychological safety.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and challenges across teams.
