Job summary

Jobgether partners with a technology leader to hire a Storage & Backup Engineer based in Switzerland. You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage and data protection infrastructure across heterogeneous environments, focusing on reliability and disaster recovery.

You will oversee storage arrays, SAN fabrics, backup platforms, and recovery tests, while collaborating with global teams. This remote-friendly role offers a long-term engagement and opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience in enterprise storage and backup environments.
• Experience with NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell ECS.
• Expertise in backup platforms such as Dell Avamar, PPDM, Data Domain, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Strong knowledge of storage networking (Cisco/Brocade, Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
• Proficiency with shell scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• ITIL service management knowledge.
• Professional English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise storage and backup architectures.
• Manage storage arrays, SAN fabrics, and backup platforms.
• Plan installations, upgrades, migrations, capacity expansions.
• Monitor health, performance, and backup success rates.
• Provide Tier 3 support and root-cause analyses.
• Perform data restoration and participate in DR exercises.
• Apply security controls and change-management procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Develop scripts to automate provisioning and monitoring.
• Deliver infrastructure projects and handovers.
• Maintain runbooks and recovery procedures.
• Participate in standby and on-call rotations.
