Jobgether is seeking a Backend QA Engineer based in Switzerland to own quality across a high-traffic backend platform. You will perform manual testing and automation for APIs, data integrity, and event-driven services, collaborating with engineers in a fully remote global team.

You will validate REST and gRPC APIs, perform SQL data checks, and contribute to automated regression tests using Go while improving QA processes across the platform.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of professional manual testing experience focusing on backend services.
• Experience testing APIs, transactions, distributed systems, and edge cases.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation in relational databases.
• Proficient with API testing tools such as Postman and test management platforms.
• Ability to read Go code and extend automated tests in Go; familiarity with other languages is ok.

• Design comprehensive test cases and coverage strategies from requirements.
• Perform end-to-end testing of transaction lifecycles and related workflows.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency across services using SQL queries.
• Test REST and gRPC APIs with tools like Postman or grpcurl.
• Verify event-driven workflows across Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS and related systems.
• Develop automated regression tests in Go and collaborate with developers.
• Log, prioritize, and track defects in Jira with clear repro steps.
• Execute regression testing after deployments and improve QA processes.
