Hitachi Energy Ltd. invites applications for a 6-month internship in the Central European Hitachi Energy Research Center in Baden-Dättwil. You will join the Semiconductor Packaging and Reliability Engineering team to explore HVDC station reliability and develop statistical models.

The program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a collaborative environment where you grow technically while contributing to sustainable energy projects. Fluency in English and independence are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a MSc degree in a relevant field (official enrolment essential).
• Strong fundamentals in statistics and probability.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering concepts.
• Programming skills for data analysis and machine learning are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Assist in researching and developing the reliability profile of HVDC stations at component level.
• Assist in developing and applying novel statistical and mathematical models for reliability analysis.
• Develop and implement stochastic reliability models for components in HVDC stations.
• Document and communicate the solutions developed to ensure knowledge transfer within the research team, academic cooperation partners and relevant business areas
