Job summary

Stadler Rail AG invites motivated professionals to contribute to the advancement of railway signaling and CBTC projects in Switzerland. You will lead RAMS activities, support security and cybersecurity efforts, and create essential safety and security documentation for complex signaling systems.

The role involves verification, validation, and quality assurance, plus assisting with regulator approvals and the review of technical documents.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in a relevant field.
• Experience applying functional safety standards (e.g. EN50126, EN50716, EN50129, MIL-882, IEEE, FTA handbook, ARP, 26262).
• Experience with security standards (e.g. TS 50701, NIST) is an advantage.
• Experience in certification processes for railway signaling applications.
• Open, communicative and independent working style with goal-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in at least two of English, German, and French.

Responsibilities

• Management of RAMS activities for CBTC or other signalling systems.
• Management of Security (incl Cybersecurity) activities for CBTC or other signalling systems.
• Creation of safety / security documentation (e.g. Safety/Security Plan, Risk Assessment, Hazard or TV analysis & Safety/Security Case).
• Verification, Validation and Quality assurance activities.
• Assistance with approval documents and their review for correctness and completeness.
• Assistance with approval of CBTC/ATC/ATO/CWS systems by regulatory authorities and assessors.
• Other RAMS / Security / V&V / Quality management activities of the Division Signalling.

• Experience in the application of security (incl cybersecurity) standards (e.g. TS 50701, NIST) is an advantage
• Experience in the certification process of specific application in railway signaling area

• High motivation to become familiar with new technologies, development processes and tools
• Fluent in at least two of the following languages: English, German, French
