Stadler is seeking an engineer to support ETCS and railway signalling systems across rail vehicles in Switzerland and beyond. You will commission systems, provide warranty and operational support, analyze issues with ETCS logs and diagnostics, and prepare detailed reports and test records.

The role involves remote and on-site interventions, planning system tests, and training sessions, with 40–60% travel within Switzerland and across Europe. Strong German and English languages are required.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical vocational training in automation, electronics, mechatronics or an equivalent field.
• Further education at HF or FH level is an advantage.
• Initial professional experience in commissioning, service engineering, or integration of technical systems in railways.
• Knowledge of ETCS, Train Control and Management Systems, or railway signalling is an asset.
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented work approach with high commitment and flexibility.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% within Switzerland and Europe.
• Fluent German and good English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Commissioning and technical support of ETCS and signalling systems on rail vehicles.
• Providing customer support during warranty and operation phases.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues using ETCS logs, JRU data, and vehicle diagnostic tools.
• Preparing technical reports, test records and documentation.
• Delivering remote support and on-site technical interventions at customer locations.
• Planning and executing commissioning activities, system tests and training sessions.
• Collaborating with customers, suppliers and cross-functional project teams nationally and internationally.
