Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva invites applications for a Mechanical Technician to contribute to the development of high-temperature superconducting magnets. You will join an R&D program and help design, manufacture and assemble coils, components and tooling for advanced magnet systems.

The role requires hands-on machining, reading drawings, and producing CAD models in CATIA, with a collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to work onsite at CERN.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience in mechanical manufacturing and assembly of electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with quality documentation: procedures, test reports, traceability.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings with ISO GPS dimensions and tolerancing.
• CATIA CAD experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Produce high-temperature superconductor-based magnet coils.
• Assemble magnet models, prototypes, and tooling.
• Machining of mechanical parts using milling, turning and forming.
• Manage component stocks, manufacturing requests, purchase orders, and acceptance tests.
• Prepare production and quality-control documentation, including traceability.
• Produce CAD drawings from 3D models.
