Job summary

Energy technology in Switzerland seeks a skilled electrical engineer to design control solutions for AC and DC power electronics used in high-current industrial settings. You will contribute to R&D, develop model-based control, and support verification in hardware-in-the-loop environments.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in EE, strong knowledge of line-commutated and voltage-source converters, and hands-on experience with PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS, plus programming in C/C#/Python.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering required.
• Very good knowledge of AC and DC power electronic topologies including line-commutated and voltage-source converters.
• Experience in control design for power electronics systems.
• Knowledge of model-based development of control and protection functions.
• Strong skills in PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS.
• Proficiency in C, C#, Python programming.
• Fluent in English; German knowledge is beneficial.
