Zusammenfassung

Miraex, based in EPFL Innovation Park near Lausanne, Switzerland, seeks a Photonic Test/Design Intern to develop and characterize electro‑optical devices. You will join a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced start-up environment and take responsibility for a range of projects in quantum technology.

The role offers 6 to 12 months internship at least at 80%. You will be mentored by a dedicated optical and quantum engineering team and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge photonic systems.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a lab environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and optical systems.
• Rigor in experiment design and execution.
• Interest and initiative to learn new skills.
• Good communication in English (French is a plus).

Aufgaben

• Perform tests to characterize electrical and/or optical prototype devices.
• Build or adapt instrumentation installations and test benches.
• Communicate measurement results via presentations and reports.
• Carry out theoretical calculations to predict device performance.
• Perform simulations to inform new device designs.
