Quality Manager Global Accounts


As the Quality Manager for Global Accounts / Key Accounts in the QMBKA department, you serve as the primary contact for major customers, overseeing all customer-related quality topics and requirements. You will professionally manage the Global Account / Key Account Product Quality Engineers, working closely with Product Management and the Key Account Team to meet customer needs. Your goal is to foster a zero-defect culture, acting as the interface between global stakeholders and the customer on quality issues. Responsibilities also include defining and tracking customer-specific quality objectives, participating in regular meetings to review scorecard ratings and progress, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, you will accompany customer visits and audits, aiming to meet or exceed customer expectations, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and trust to establish a strategic partnership.


MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES
  1. Manage the Global Account / Key Account Product Quality Engineers.
  2. Ensure product quality in the market and support customer quality expectations and requirements.
  3. Handle quality escalations and address customer dissatisfaction regarding quality issues.
  4. Standardize and optimize product quality processes and customer-specific procedures.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments and customers.
  6. Collaborate globally with stakeholders and customers on quality topics.
  7. Manage and coordinate annual quality objectives and initiatives for the global account.
  8. Lead regular scorecard meetings with the customer.
  9. Lead or accompany customer visits and audits.
  10. Monitor KPIs, define, and track corrective measures.
EXPERIENCES - What experiences bring success to this position?
  • Over five years of experience in product quality engineering or quality management with direct customer contact.
  • Profound understanding of high-tech component quality processes in a global, consolidated market environment.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry, including relevant processes and customer requirements (e.g., Copy Exact).
  • Good knowledge of VAT products, functions, and applications.
  • Experience working in international teams and matrix organizations.
  • Advanced skills in audit management, project management, complaint handling, quality tools, product development, and change management.
  • Familiarity with ISO and IATF standards and norms.
COMPETENCIES - What competencies bring success to this position?
  • Bachelor's degree or certification as a Quality Expert / Manager (or similar).
  • Education or apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Excellent listening, communication, presentation, and moderation skills.
  • Qualification or education as an auditor.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO and IATF requirements.
  • Strong skills in escalation and conflict management.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, 3-legged 5 Why, Fishbone diagram, FMEA, SPC, etc.
  • Ability to hold others accountable.
  • High level of independence.
  • Systematic, methodical, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Fluent in English and German.
